Top New Business Locations Worldwide

Commercial Real Estate Information Portal issues its latest report.

ResearchWorldwide.com -- Interior Design, 12/2/2004 12:00:00 AM

ResearchWorldwide.com, a commercial real estate industry Website, reports on new research identifying the top 30 cities over 2 million for companies to set up and operate their businesses.

Canada and Australia are home to the top 4, with Montreal and Toronto fractionally ahead of Melbourne and Sydney.

Other cities to make the grade are Manchester (UK), Turin (Italy), Atlanta, Tampa and Phoenix, and the UK's Birmingham in tenth place.

ResearchWorldwide.com's report is an analysis of data from global consultating firm KPMG entitled Competitive Alternatives, which assesses new business locations.

The decline in the value of the US Dollar over the last two years has enabled the US to show the greatest improvement in its relative cost position since 2002.

The remaining top 12 international cities are spread among seven strong economic countries. The United Kingdom has 3 cities, Canada, Australia and The Netherlands each have 2, and Italy, Germany and Japan have one city each.

In addition, ResearchWorldwide.com supplements the report with deeper commercial real estate-related information on these 30 cities. The site aggregates 540 research sources, one of which is KPMG. It also offers access to research reports and other resources to assist decision makers.

The table below identifies the ranking of the top 30 international cities, coupled with the number of search results for each city found via ResearchWorldwide.com's search engine.
