Western Regional Design Competition Seeks Entries

The Interior Design Society (IDS), Wine County Chapter has kicked off its third annual design contest. The chapter is accepting entries, due April 15, from all IDS members in good standing in the Western United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and students of any recognized design program.

Categories for 2007 are: Best Wall Treatment, Best Window Treatment, Best Kitchen Design, Best Dining Room Design, Best Bedroom Design, Best Bathroom Design, Best Den or Study Design, Best Family Room Design, Best Living Room Design, Best Bonus Room Design, Best Accessory Vignette, Best Showroom Vignette, and Best of Show. 

Winners will be selected by a panel composed of the IDS executive board and industry professionals and honored at a special awards weekend June 15. Held at the Cokas-Diko in Windsor, California, the awards weekend will include a welcome reception on Friday, June 15 and an awards reception and dinner on Saturday, June 16 at the White Oak Winery. 

Submissions are $25 each; three or more carries free admission to the Saturday awards reception and dinner, which is $75. Special group rates are available at the Holiday Inn Express in Windsor. Entry forms are available online.
