Tendence Lifestyle 2006 Gears up

Two off-site events, which made their debut last year, will return.

Tendence Lifestyle is the place to be for the latest in design and decoration trends. The 2006 tradeshow, August 25-29 at Frankfurt am Main's Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds, will feature the most current ideas for home design, entertaining and cooking, decorations, gifts, and styles, according to press material.

The show is divided into six categories. Modern Living is the international showroom for the design-oriented lifestyle – from modern to avant-garde; Emotion takes on country-house style with furniture, home accessories and children’s rooms; Joy features gift ideas; the Passione category represents individual styling; Function showcases designs for the table, kitchen and home; Passage features the biggest range of products offered at a European consumer-goods show by overseas exhibitors.

In addition, Tendence Lifestyle 2006 will feature two off-site events that made their debut last year. Germany’s top design studios will contribute special projects to “Fresch,” an outdoor exhibit at the Anlagenring park in downtown Frankfurt. “Designersblock,” an event accompanied by lectures, experimental installations, and parties, will highlight young designers, architects, interior designers, and lighting designers from all over Germany.

Last year, Tendence Lifestyle drew 86,000 visitors, 24,000 from outside Germany.
