Vitra Sample Sale this Weekend

The first interested customer can land an Eames La Chaise for $999.

In New York, design aficionados will be lining up at the Vitra sample sale this weekend. On December 3, from 9-7, and December 4, from 10-6, the furniture manufacturer will offer reduced prices on samples, overstock, discontinued, and as-is items.

Contemporary design items will be drawn from theVitra Home Collection, contract office seating collection, and classic area rugs from the Jack Lenor Larson and Ruckstuhl collections. Also up for grabs to the first interested customer, one Eames La Chaise by Charles and Ray Eames for $999--the chair is usually listed at $6,850. Additional discounts will be available on select Panton chairs ($25, down from $215) by Verner Panton and Jean Prouvé’s signature Prouvé Standard chairs (up to 60 percent off $595). An assortment of clocks and miniatures will also be on hand for $25 to $100.

The showroom offers contemporary works from designers including Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison, Erwan & Ronan Bouroullec, Ron Arad, Alberto Meda, and Antonio Citterio.
