German Museum Highlights “Young American Architects’ Scene”

The exhibit will highlight the likes of ShoP Architects, nARCHITECTS, and Studio Luz Architects.

From June 27–September 2, the Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt am Main will present “Young Architects in the USA,” an exhibit offering evidence supporting this idea.

The exhibit maintains that U.S. cliental are seeking original ideas and American cities are confronting a reawakened consciousness to meet the demands of the 21st century. As a result, young U.S. architects are experimenting with shapes and materials, as well as analogies and relationships with their surroundings, to produce unique projects international in flavor. “Being a classic immigration country gives the USA a cosmopolitan tradition," notes curatorial information.

The exhibition will be supplemented by the book Young Americans. Neue Architektur in den USA (Young Americans. New Architecture in the U.S.A), edited by Beate Engelhorn, and published by DOM Publishers.

Deutsches Architekturmuseum is located at Schaumainkai 43 in Frankfurt am Main.
