It’s amore between Richard Schultz Design and Mariaflora, as the outdoor furniture manufacturer has signed on to officially represent the Italian producer of indoor/outdoor textiles in the New York metro area.

Founded in 2007 by Filippo Uecher, Mariaflora produces 100 percent solution-dyed acrylic yarns in Biella, Italy, where textiles have been milled since the 11th century. RSD now offers Mariaflora patterns from its year-old Manhattan flagship showroom on the 15th floor of the D&D Building, where the manufacturer also represents Liora Manne outdoor rugs and Tuuci umbrellas.

“Offering this high-quality, fashionable collection to the designers and architects who shop with us is a natural complement to our iconic outdoor furniture,” says Peter Schultz, president of RSD. “Strong synergies exist between Richard Schultz and Mariaflora in the critical areas of design and quality."

Mariaflora president Ellen Letchinger adds, “We selected Richard Schultz Design to represent Mariaflora because they design and sell an exceptional inventive collection of outdoor furniture that’s rotted in a legacy of design. It is made and brought to discerning customers with great care and finesse, the relationship is a perfect fit for Mariaflora as we share this common DNA.”
