On the Move

Here's this week's roundup of who’s doing what, where in the design community.

Designer furniture shop Design Within Reach (DWR) has management changes. Ray Brunner, previously the company’s executive vice president of real estate and studio operations has succeeded CEO and president Tara Poseley, who has resigned. Wanda Gierhart, executive vice president of marketing and merchandising has also resigned

Howard Goltz joins architecture, engineering, and construction firm Ellerbe Becket’s Minneapolis office as architectural director. Previously, Goltz served firm Leo A. Daly as principal and vice president.

Commodity Sourcing Group, a provider of commodity integration and materials management services primarily in the health care arena, will expand into the furniture market. David Elston will serve as president of the new venture.

Space and Nelson, international firms specializing in strategic planning, interior design, architecture, engineering, workplace, and information services, have entered into a business partnership. Space will expand its service base, increase global coverage, and reduce operating expenses through the use of Nelson’s infrastructure and integrated services platform.

At the Washington, D.C., office of HOK Advance Strategies, a division of global architecture firm Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum, Leigh Stringer moves up to vice president.

Mark Glasser joins full-service architecture firm Cubellis Associates as principal, corporate design.

 

Ronald Kolber joins construction firm Skanska USA Building as director of business development.

Marianne O’Brien is now principal in the Minneapolis office of architecture, engineering, and planning firm SmithGroup.

Laminate manufacturer Panolam Industries has announced an initiative to expand its regional product manager/specifications rep force across the United States and Canada.
