Of Epic Proportions

WITH MORE THAN 110 NEW DESIGNS covering wood, metal, and lounge seating, tables, and accessories, Epic is poised to become the fresh alternative to those same old resources. The new company, based in Florida, brings original European designs to the United States and their sources are top-notch. Included in the latest offerings are the Astra stacking chair; a multi-purpose Fiesta chair; Star, with brushed steel arms and legs; the Well lounge; a standalone coatrack; the occasional/accent Za Za table; Carlo Bimbi's Viola stacker; Enrico Franzolini's stacking chair Agra; and Venture, with an updated work/tablet arm. Joint Effort

AS BK/BARRIT , the 45-year-old Philadelphia-based chair manufacturer, continues to work with designer William Sklaroff, the team expands on their original seating collection. Together, they have created a new series of crafted wood chairs, including the Renza lounge chair (with a recessed or fitted arm); Daiquiri with solid cherry arms; the classic wood Rex XX stacker; and the Kiara guest chair with slat back.
