In a collaboration of two of the biggest names in the biz, Interior Design is teaming up with INSPIREDESIGN as an official media partner for the annual design and architecture marketplace. The show for hospitality, senior living, and healthcare fields will take place from February 1 to 3 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.

For starters, Interior Design is quarterbacking a new installation, Design Beyond, by bringing together talent from top architecture and design firms to create model hotel rooms of the future featuring products from INSPIREDESIGN exhibitors. Interior Design is also launching the new Design Excellence Awards at the show.

INSPIREDESIGN, in an unprecedented departure from tradeshows past, will not be charging attendees and exhibitors for attending their educational and enlightenment series and have scheduled it to be held in the morning so as not to compete with exhibitors at the event. The series includes a keynote speech that will be given by veteran National Geographic photojournalist Dewitt Jones. In addition to shooting for the nature mag for 20 years, Jones has published nine books, worked on advertising campaigns for Dewar’s Scotch, United Airlines, and Canon, and had two films nominated for Academy Awards.

The IIDA is also getting in on the action, hosting a networking lounge on the show floor and presenting two accredited seminars. “The Convergence of Healthcare and Hospitality Design” will feature a panel of experts discussing the similarities between the two fields, while “Design and the Aging Population,” will explore the latest trends in senior living spaces.
