NeoCon to Feature Student Day

Student badges provide access to all exhibit floors and all Student Series events throughout the show.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 5/23/2006 12:00:00 AM

NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, to be held June 12-14 in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, is paving the way towards a bright future for architecture and design students. On Wednesday June 14 the contract furnishings showcase will devote one full day to tomorrow’s talent. Student Series will feature a roster of educational opportunities.

The day long event includes a keynote speaker, panel presentation, professional development activities, and an opportunity to tour the showrooms and Market Suites at NeoCon. With Student Series Badges, students will receive access to all Student Series events, as well as exhibit floors, June 12–14.

For an insider’s perspective to the design industry, students can drop by the IIDA Roundtable Discussions. Sponsored by the International Interior Designers Association (IIDA), the roundtables will offer students expert views on the best tools and strategies to enter the workforce--such as portfolio development, interviewing skills, and internships.

Registration is available online, or onsite during show registration hours. For a full listing of events, visit the Merchandise Mart online.

Student Series, sponsored by furniture manufacturer Herman Miller, will run from 8:30am-4pm.
