Carini Lang

These hand-knotted Corduroy carpets from Nepal are composed of high-grade Chinese silk that's been dyed organically. The ridged effect comes from trimming the pile, which creates stripes that are up to a chunky 1/2 inch wide. Wall-to-wall sizes and wool or mohair blends are available. 335 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10013; 646-613-0497; carinilang.com. circle 342

The 36-inch-long planks have a textured finish and are 41/2 inches wide. 6480 Roswell Road, Atlanta, GA 30328; 800-370-7324; amtico.com. circle 343

An edge binding completes the tailored look. 335 Summit Road, Eden, NC 27288; 800-234-1120; karastan.com. circle 346
