Green Comes in Many Colors

To produce a lively, ecologically responsible line of veneers, aptly named Green, Tabu has partnered with the Forest Stewardship Council. The three wood types—Lolo, Jata, and Pama—come in 14 naturally dyed shades. Lolo and Jata lean toward the traditional, while Pama is more trendy in acid yellow, pink, blue, green, gray, and white. Colored uniformly all the way through, the material is ideal for furniture as well as interior walls and floors. And the FSC guarantee lets you sleep easy, knowing that the wood comes from managed forests that adhere to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. The King of Las Vegas

In the early 1980's, Roger Thomas joined Las Vegas developer Steve Wynn to design the interiors for the Mirage. More recently, Thomas worked on extravaganzas such as the Bellagio and Wynn Las Vegas. But Thomas also designs small, as seen at this year's Hospitality Design Conference & Expo.

His mirrors for A.P.F. Master Framemakers reflect a mastery of glamour. Galileo's gold-leafed frame and mirror are inset with Swarovski crystals. Bernini has a rock-maple frame lacquered in custom colors, including lipstick red, or gold-leafed like Galileo. Dimensions are custom, too.

Moving outdoors, he designed the Roger Thomas Collection of concrete planters, accessories, and furniture for Trevi Manufacturing. Cylindrical Catasta, X-shape Croce, and the Cubetto all stack to create tall ensembles. Among four table styles, Navona measures 46 inches deep by 36 high by 66 long. The concrete comes in 14 colors and three textures.

Lighting in the Mist collection drips with glitz. Both the chandelier and sconce are made of glass with a linear or cross-hatch relief. The glass comes in black, clear, pearly, white, or transparent red, with coordinating shades of glass or pleated silk. Two table lamps round out the line.
