On the hunt for fresh new ideas, wallpaper manufacturer Source One decided to approach hot young talent across the U.S. Celebrating wallpaper design, the annual Source One Student Design Competition awards students in both hospitality and corporate categories.

The 2008 program gives a nod to eight talented students -- the two grand prize winners earn the chance to see their designs realized, a $1,000 cash prize, and a $1,000 donation to the winners' schools for use toward further developing their design programs.

"Even though this was the first year the Source One Design Competition focused its efforts on students, we were still able to almost double the submissions compared to last year," notes Randy Scholes, Source One brand manager. "Source One looks forward to market testing the grand prize designs and based on market feedback, they could be added to the Source One Exclusive collection."

Winning designs were singled out for innovation, aesthetics, originality, and suitability.
