Today's Keynote: Daniel Pink

-- Interior Design, 6/15/2009 12:00:00 AM

In these tough times, it's all the more important to be motivated and keep ahead of the pack. But how do you stay inspired to push beyond your limits and perform at higher levels? In his bestselling book, A Whole New Mind, author Daniel Pink explores the surprising science of human motivation, and he shares this insight in today's keynote, "Creativity, Motivation, and You." Pink draws on real-life examples, as well as studies, to reveal that much of what we do in organizations actually crushes creativity, and offers advice on how to create a culture that counters that trend, allowing creatives to let their work flourish. This address is sponsored by the International Interior Design Association and Allsteel.

The keynote will begin at 8:00AM in the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, Sauganash Ballroom (14th floor). A book signing will follow at the NeoCon Bookstore. Don't miss Tuesday's keynote, "The Future of Design," by Paola Antonelli, senior curator of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art; and Wednesday's "The Art of Lighting: An Exploration of the Necessity and Power of Light in Design," by Rockwell Group's principal architect, Shawn Sullivan.
