L.A. DesignWeek Born Again

Kicking-off with NeoCon West on March 27, DesignWeek will continue through March 30.

Staff -- Interior Design, 10/10/2005 12:00:00 AM

Los Angeles, a magnet for all things fashionable, will revive L.A. DesignWeek next March, for a city-wide celebration of design.

Kicking off with NeoCon West, March 27-28, DesignWeek--which continues until March 30--reflects the resurgence in the contract furnishings industry and the “spirit of partnership” in L.A.’s design community.

Each day of L.A. DesignWeek will focus on a different design district around the city and will feature a full schedule of product displays, seminars, networking, and parties. L.A. DesignWeek encompasses NeoCon West at the L.A. Mart, major contract furnishings showrooms in downtown Los Angeles, the Santa Monica Design District, West Week at the Pacific Design Center, and the Avenues of Art and Design in West Hollywood. Participating showrooms include Haworth, Steelcase, and Knoll.

With a host of boutique-like exhibits, special events, and educational programming, NeoCon West is the largest exposition and conference for commercial interiors and the built environment on the West Coast. In addition to the requisite keynotes and product introductions, the West Edge challenge will feature six different environments designed by Gensler, Interior Architects, Langdon Wilson, HOK, and Klawiter & Associates.
