The only gallery on Bard College's campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, used to be a 9,500-square-foot space in the Center for Curatorial Studies. The new Hessel Museum of Art, designed by Goettsch Partners, is nearly double the size. Projects such as this Colorado house, built in 1989, have made Ettore Sottsass the lifetime-achievement winner for the second annual Benjamin Moore Hue Awards, which recognize outstanding use of color in architecture and interiors.
