Esque Studio
Glass artist Andi Kovel's Big Red light is an improvisational expression of form, function, and process. Fading to clear, the red elongated neck perfectly fits (and obscures) a rubber stopper that houses a halogen bulb socket, while a puff of air during glassblowing results in a playful vent hole. With a flattened underside, it comes in two sizes and also in black, white, and aqua. 6717 North Borthwick Avenue, Portland, OR 97217; 503-289-6392; esque-studio.com. circle 725
Brand van Egmond
Spice up any room with the Dutch studio's Lola chandelier. Its steel panels, embedded with mesh and trimmed in metal fringe, are laced together corset-style.
