Office furniture powerhouse Haworth once again racks up the green credentials with the opening a showroom in San Francisco's first LEED Gold-certified speculative high-rise development.

Designed by omnipresent architecture firm Perkins + Will, the 8,300-square-foot space is located on the 19th floor of 555 Mission Street, a 33-story office tower in the city’s South of Market district, and is expected to earn LEED-CI Gold in its own right.

Among the features are floor-to-ceiling windows, an open floor-plate, and unobstructed views of San Francisco Bay and the city. Latticework on the entrance ceiling is constructed of reclaimed wood, while the color scheme throughout is, of course, apple green. The neighborhood, currently a focus of redevelopment, offers nearby access to several BART transit lines.

"The new showroom demonstrates Haworth's unique capability to create high performance interiors that are sustainable, effective, and inspiring," says Haworth president and CEO Franco Bianchi. "The San Francisco market is critical to Haworth, and our new space is a testimony of our commitment to the future."
