SOFA So Good

edited by Sheila Kim -- Interior Design, 4/1/2003 12:00:00 AM

The Sculpture Objects & Functional Art exposition lures New York collectors for the sixth year running. Among more than 50 top-notch dealers coming to the Seventh Regiment Armory are New York's Heller Gallery, which is showing a Venetian glass sculpture by Lino Tagliapietra; Chicago's Perimeter Gallery, which presents a late Peter Voulkos stoneware plate; and New York's Lea Sneider, which is offering a Naoko Serino jute-fiber objet. The show also features a special exhibition of vintage Wharton Esherick furniture, lighting, and decorative objects from Philadelphia's Moderne Gallery. A series of 11 lectures runs May 29 to 31. And a gala preview benefits the Museum of Arts and Design (formerly the American Craft Museum). May 28–June 1; 800-563-7632; sofaexpo.com.
