Chic Eats

edited by Craig Kellogg -- Interior Design, 4/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

Need a quick bite near New York's D&D Building? David Burke at Bloomingdale's serves up breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a full bar. The Iron Chef partnered with Leo Modrcin of Ured Architecture on the project, which involved transforming side display windows into a slender café. The department store's famous black-and-white floor appears here, but morphed by the architect into plaid ceramic tile. And the Bloomie's men's department now enjoys an unexpected view of Burke's kitchen.
