Landscape, phase two of textile designer Lori Weitzner's collection for Sahco Hesslein/Bergamo, is a series of casement and upholstery fabrics offered in 54 colors and in groups of silks, linens, velvets, and wools. As coordinating fabrics for the original collection, Bloom (February Market, 2000), Landscape includes Windrift, a sheer linen and silk with a strié effect in the weft that was inspired by sand drifts. It is offered in nine hues. An homage to the sea, Tidepool, a silk and wool fabric in seven colors, incorporates a pocket weave technique to raise swirls and spirals against the background. Using a pleating technique on embossed velvet, Strata, available in four shades, represents rocky terrain. Dunes, with the drape of silk and wool, is a basic solid in 19 colorways. Not shown are Coastline, which features undulating lines with a pucker effect; Breeze, a gingko leaf motif; and Palisade, a voile and puckered silk.
