It was just last May that Michigan-based Izzy Design achieved Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification from the Greenguard Environmental Institute for its entire line of seating products. Now the furniture manufacturer has landed the sustainable certification for its powder-coated steel furniture products.
The certification, which insures products meet safe indoor air standards without any restrictions or modifications to product design, materials or processes, can be used towards LEED points from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The firm's powder-coated steel furniture products include 2005 Best of NeoCon Silver Award-winning Edison and Calvin alternative office furniture, and Clara archival storage cabinets.
“The GREENGUARD Certification is another step in izzydesign’s journey to provide people with cool, affordable furniture and seating that is part of a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment,” says Chuck Saylor, president and founder of izzydesign.
