East Meets West

Staff -- Interior Design, 6/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

Sotheby's New York mounts China Without Borders, showcasing works by 30 contemporary Chinese artists who "represent the last generation to have a link with the Chinese classical tradition, and the first to be exposed to contemporary currents of Western art," explains curator Michael Goedhuis. The exhibit, presented in conjunction with London's Goedhuis Contemporary, also includes room settings by architect Calvin Tsao and fashion designers Han Feng, Peter Som, Zang Toi, and Vera Wang. On view at Sotheby's, York Avenue at 72nd Street, June 20th through June 28th.
