Design Within Reach Announces $10,000 Design Contest

The winner will receive a $10,000 gift card good for DWR products, star in a DWR Studio event, and be featured in the DWR catalog and website.

Design Within Reach may be known for bringing classic modern design to the consumer mass, but this season the retailer, armed with a new CEO, is getting cozy with the trade.

In effort to develop a real-life catalogue, the company has announced a national contest open to design professionals and students, as well as design enthusiasts. DWR is soliciting project photos from entrants who have specified their products for recent commercial, hospitality, and residential spaces. All entries must be original work and incorporate items from the DWR line.

The winner will receive a $10,000 gift card good for DWR products, star in a DWR Studio event, and be featured in the DWR catalog and website.

"At Design Within Reach, we celebrate the modern aesthetic," says CEO and president John Edelman. "We know our customers are inspired by looking at our catalogs. Now is their chance to have their designed spaces actually appear in our catalog and website."

Please visit dwr.com/designgallery for official rules and an entry form. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on April 30, 2010.
