Submit to ICFF Design Contests

Winners will receive an exclusive platform to showcase their wares.

Looking to get your products in the design spotlight? Two contests are calling for entries, in conjunction with the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), which will be held May 19-22 in New York.

George Little Management, (GLM), producer and manager of ICFF, and furniture manufacturer Bernhardt Design are seeking design prototypes for ICFF Studio. Winning entries will be displayed during the show at ICFF Studio, a group area with individual booths on the exhibition floor. The program is open to all product categories on display at the fair: Furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath. Selected designers will receive media attention as well as the opportunity to showcase their wares to manufacturers on the hunt for new products.

To apply, submit a completed entry form (PDF); photo prints of up to three product prototypes for possible exhibition at the ICFF; and supporting information including a biography.

GLM is also seeking entries from design schools. Six schools, selected by a jury composed of editors from design publications and show sponsors, will receive a 200-square-foot booth at the show, including a white hard-wall modular unit, and birch floor. (Schools must provide their own arrangements, costs of labor, lighting, and shipping.) Entries should be original products and prototypes designed by students.

For consideration, submit: a completed entry form (PDF); five sets of a description of a topic, a singular concept to be exhibited at the Fair; and supporting information on no more than five sheets (no larger than 9x12 inches/23x31 centimeters).

The deadline for both programs is December 15; winners will be announced January 15.
