In the four years he's lived in New York, British photographer Adrian Wilson has shot projects by Interior Design Giants and emerging studios alike—and that means pointing his Cambo Wide DS at the inside of the city's buildings. Lately, however, he's turned his camera around, photographing the world outside the offices of firms he visits in the line of duty.

"When I first arrived here, I was amazed by these views that others don't see," he says. "So I started putting my lens flat against the window and taking at least two shots from every location." No editorializing allowed.

He documented Midtown's power canyons from Gensler's 15th-floor Rockefeller Center office and Wall Street's spires from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, on 24. Personally, though, he prefers a more intimate street scape, such as the one seen from Mancini Duffy's second-floor office in the West Village. From HOK's second-floor workplace in the Flatiron district, he ironically focused on. . .a camera shop. His favorite is Shane Reilly's view of Midtown's looming Citigroup building. It was shot on the summer solstice, Wilson's birthday.
