Baltimore's Business

edited by Sheila Kim -- Interior Design, 10/1/2003 12:00:00 AM

Interior designers, architects, and facilities professionals have been gathering at the NeoCon World's Trade Fair in Chicago since 1969 to find the best the contract industry has to offer, whether building materials, carpet, or furniture. Now NeoCon East is coming to the Baltimore Convention Center. The debut event consists of three sections: Government Interiors serves federal specifiers, designers, and procurement managers; Greenlife: Products for Sustainable Environments caters to architects and designers with an earth-friendly outlook; and Buildings Show East showcases general building products and services. In addition, Interior Design is sponsoring Celebrating Creativity, an IIDA lecture by movie director and Baltimore native John Waters. Check out the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter's Leader's Breakfast and the Student Day events, too. November 6-7; 800-677-6278; merchandisemart.com.
