The Art of Tile Jen RenziThere are few building products as versatile as tile. From indoor to outdoor, flooring to countertops, backsplashes to decorative art, factory-glazed to hand-painted—the variety and functions are endless. As a result of an infinite number of styles, materials, and colors, tile has become an incredibly popular way to add personalized character to every room of a home.

Former Interior Design senior editor, Jen Renzi, launches a comprehensive book on the product entitled, The Art of Tile: Designing with Time-Honored and New Tiles. Released today by Clarkson Potter/Crown Publishers, the book features design lessons, real-life examples of stunning installations, and a catalog containing more than 1,500 choices of tiles from traditional to modern.

The book provides readers with tutorials on the basics of the medium, as well as selecting proper materials for a given space. Complete with full-color images by photographer Ben Ritter, The Art of Tile features an extensive resource guide of tile sources, and expert advice from architects, designers, and manufacturers.
