Lightfair Innovation Award Winners Announced

Top prize went to the ARC Keeper Arctic 175 HID Backup Ballast from the Bodine Company.

This week, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York is the destination of lighting professionals around the world, for annual architectural lighting show Lightfair International in New York. As part of the festivities, some of the world’s leading lighting manufacturers are honored each year through the Lightfair Innovation Awards program.

Some 139 entries poured in for the 2007 program, which is sponsored by Architectural Lighting magazine and eLumit.com. A panel of industry professionals selected winners.

Top prize went to the ARC Keeper Arctic 175 HID Backup Ballast from the Bodine Company, which was awarded the Most Innovative Product of the Year award. The Design Excellence Award winner is ORUS Roadway Luminaire from North Star Lighting and the co-winners of the Technical Excellence Award, recognizing lighting technology excellence, are Luxeon Rebel from Philips Lumileds and ALTO II T8 Lamps from Philips Lighting Company.
