Highlighting hot new objects from the coolest of countries, "Magma: Contemporary Icelandic Design" is the special exhibition at this year's SOFA New York at the Park Avenue Armory. The exhibit was organized by the island nation's government agencies with the help of Museum of Art & Design chief curator David Revere McFadden and designer Gudrun Lilja Gunnlaugsdóttir, whose work appears in the show. Look for pieces to combine natural and sustainable materials, focusing on ecological preservation.
