Corduroy carpets

idx050201_mktfloor01.jpg

Carini Lang -- Interior Design, 3/7/2005 12:00:00 AM

These hand-knotted Corduroy carpets from Nepal are composed of high-grade Chinese silk that's been dyed organically. The ridged effect comes from trimming the pile, which creates stripes that are up to a chunky 1/2 inch wide. Wall-to-wall sizes and wool or mohair blends are available. 335 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10013; 646-613-0497; carinilang.com.
