Through the eyes and inspiration of the Designtex Studio, to the careful hands of the Afghani weavers, a meaningful collection of one-of-a-kind rugs is brought to life. The Common Threads Collection brings together the modern and traditional worlds by way of the common threads of artistry and vision.

Koko Architecture + Design — Leftovers Rug
This recycled rug is a modified byproduct of a Detroit felt supplier who punches felt plugs for the automotive industry. The resulting “leftovers” has the softness of a deep pile rug, contrasted by a lively graphic moiré pattern. We also like to think of it as our own version of a “Detroit Bailout”. Dimensions: 54” x 72”
Odegard Inc. — Felt Striped
Stephanie has added her modern sensibility and refined sense of style to this centuries' old craft. Select felts are hand embroidered with delicate patterns inspired by the simple designs from India's rich culture. She has also looked to the artisans themselves for fresh adaptations. They have, in turn, created colorful runners made entirely of recycled strips sewn together by hand.
The Nought Collective — Where are We Going?
Inspired by the great cities of the past present and future, where are we going? explores the geometry created by peoples and cultures as they gather, organize, and connect to each other and the natural environment.
