James E. Prendergast, has joined Chicago-based international architectural firm Lohan Caprile Goettsch Architects as a principal. In this leadership role, he will direct and expand the firm’s interior architecture practice.
Matrix Settles, Architects & Interior Designers recently hired Courtney E. Gillen, interior designer, and Cezar N. Gomez, associate. Prior to joining Matrix Settles, Gillen designed model home interiors with Builder’s Design & Leasing, and assisted Marriott International with international hotel design. Gomez was principal of his own space planning and design firm, designing and building high-end residential restaurant and commercial projects.
Henry H. Abernathy has joined Perkins Eastman as principal. Abernathy will employ more than 35 years of professional experience to focus on the firm’s higher education, laboratory and other programmatically complex projects.
TGP Architecture has four new members on board. Inga Kruliene, design director, is an architectural designer with years of retail experience, having helmed projects from large-scale specialty stores to intimate, one-of-a-kind boutiques. Steven Segure, director of the firm’s retail studio, has facilitated multiple North American expansion programs for prominent retail clients since joining TPG in 1997. Neil Tucker, studio director, has dedicated his talents to the emerging new media industry, tackling technically demanding projects including NBC, MTV, and Atlantic Studios. Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design alum Alec Zaballero, design director, has extensive experience in the design of restaurants, spas, health clubs and entertainment venues.
