Canadian designer Victor Chan's Turn table provides a solution to the magazine-storage problem that will leave you spinning. Current issues go in a reveal in the solid maple top. When next month's subscriptions arrive, rotate the top and the older issues drop into the compartment below—where you can scan your collection through violet-colored glass. Or simply use the space for storage.

A glowing example of design and technology, the Aurora cocktail table lights up with a halo of colorful and animated lights. The illumination is achieved with Pixcell technology enhanced by a combination of the table's glass top and frosted acrylic center, both of which hover atop a tulip-shape chromed base.

Emeco's aluminum chairs and stools became instant classics. Now the company takes on the table. Appropriate for use indoors and out, these sharp-looking occasional pieces— available in three heights with several finish options—are part of a successful ongoing collaboration with the prolific Philippe Starck.

With the 4SPR, French architect Jean Nouvel proves that a sexy meeting table isn't an impossibility. Named after the leather straps that spiral up its four elongated and conical legs, 4SPR also has a leather top edged in chromed steel for added sensuousness. At Arredo.

New York's BDDW is at it again with the storage-friendly S Side Table. A functional design with lots of flair, the piece is finished largely in polished white lacquer with a contrasting walnut-veneer drawer. A hidden shelf at the base provides extra stash space.
