Mini-Golf Benefit at Chicago's Merchandise Mart

Advance tickets are $20 for non-players and $300 per foursome team.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 2/28/2008 12:00:00 AM

On April 3, members of the design industry will tee up at Chicago's Merchandise Mart for the fifth annual Mini-Masters at The Mart. Presented by the American Society of Interior Designers-Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL) and the Illinois Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA-IL), the indoor golf event includes 18 contract showroom-sponsored golf holes, as well as three showroom-sponsored watering holes to rest up for the next hole-in-one.

Mini-Masters is open to interior designers, their clients, brokers, contractors, dealers, students, and other industry-related professionals. After the match, attendees will move to Bluprint Restaurant, located on the first floor of the Mart, for a "19th-hole party," including music, cuisine, and cocktails.

Proceeds will benefit the Illinois Interior Design Coalition (IIDC), a not-for-profit legislative political action committee dependent on donations.

"Interior designers affect people’s lives by the work they do every day, and by helping IIDC continue to protect the right to practice interior design in the State of Illinois, we create a positive domino effect," says Joan Kaufman, 2007-08 ASID-IL chapter director-at-large.

The event will be held on Mart contract floors three, 10, and 11. Registration begins at 5:30. The Bluprint after party, sponsored by Interior Alterations, will run from 9pm-10pm.

Tickets are $20 per non-playing guest in advance; $300 per foursome team in advance. At the door, tickets are $40 per non-playing guest; $400 per foursome team; $30 per student; or $120 per student foursome team. RSVP to Cheryle Rome via email at crome@cromedesign.com or call 312-951-5867, extension 13.
