Liberty of London for Target

Mark McMenamin and Meghan Edwards, Edited by Annie Block -- Interior Design, 2/1/2010 12:00:00 AM

Thomas O'Brien designed a collection that was strictly for the home. So did Victoria Hagan. Liberty of London for Target, launching March 14, is the mega-retailer's most comprehensive Design for All series to date. Since 1875, when Liberty's arty floral fabrics first hit the scene, the company has amassed an archive of 43,000 patterns. Target adapted 25 prints to create 310 products, ranging from clothing and footwear—for men, women, toddlers, and babies—to aluminum lamps with cotton shades, dinnerware in melamine, and pillows covered in polyester. There's even a bicycle.
