Italian architect, designer, artist, filmmaker, urban planner, teacher, and Interior Design Hall of Fame inductee Gaetano Pesce is the winner of the 2009 Lawrence Israel Prize, bestowed by the interior design department at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. Honoring the "best and the brightest" the annual awards program has also singled out the likes of Hall of Famers Jamie Drake (2006), Adam Tihany (2005), and Clodagh (2001).
