For NeoCon East attendees seeking artistic inspiration, the Baltimore Museum of Art and Walters Art Museum are close at hand and Washington, D.C., less than an hour away. At the capital's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, for instance, Yayoi Kusama has installed Dots Obsession, six giant white balloons with her signature red polka dots, suspended in a polka-dotted room. Through March 21; 202-633-4880; asia.si.edu. Washington's Corcoran Gallery of Art is taking the (post)impressionism craze into a new dimension, with tableaux of life-size cast-metal sculptures taken from Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Visitors explore "Beyond the Frame: Impressionism Revisited, The Sculptures of J. Seward Johnson, Jr.," by literally walking into it. Through January 5; 202- 639-1867; corcoran.org.
