Avant-garde architecture and design firm Snarkitecture has designed a pop-up retail concept for Nike and New York–based lifestyle brand Kith. The 2,400-square-foot outpost merges both brands’ identities to shape a one-of-a-kind, cohesive retail experience in New York’s SoHo neighborhood.
Snarkitecture reimagined Nike’s distinguished heritage through the lens of Kith’s luxuriously minimalist aesthetic. Evident upon entry, a spare material palette creates an understated backdrop to display athletic ware. Cast Nike shoeboxes, incorporated as building blocks, form both floor and wall displays for sneakers.
Several interactive components grace the space, including a carousel of exclusive footwear, a Nike x Kith limited-edition sneaker customization booth, a vitrine display of relics from the Nike archives, and Manhattan’s first Kith Treats cereal and ice cream café.
This opening follows Kith and Snarkitecture’s recent collaboration for the fashion brand’s first Brooklyn outpost. The store, featuring a canopy of 750 gypsum cement Air Jordan II’s and New York’s first cereal bar, left Kith’s footprint firmly planted in the hearts of design lovers, sneakerheads, and breakfast enthusiasts alike.
The pop-up is open now at 644 Broadway and will run until the end of December.
